Thanks for holding Sunoco accountable!

Infiltration? What are you, Black Ops commandos? You looked like children playing dress up. What were you protesting? The fact that working women receive badly needed scholarship money from local businesses in order to better their lives? That is what today's "Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce" luncheon was celebrating. I think all of you are badly in need of a time out and a review of basic manners. It seems to me that your bellyaching is the result of a silver spoon stuck in your mouths.

those "children playing dress up" were protesting the aggressive exploitation of Sunoco's workers on the one-year anniversary of company's mass layoffs in Philly. that didn't "better their lives"

Just to clarify our comments policy: when one person floods a comment forum, we consider that spam, not discourse. We welcome discussion, but if we receive rapid posts from the same IP address over and over, we will delete it. Thanks, readers!

If one were actually there, one would have noticed that there were no protests of the scholarships. The protests were directed specifically at the awarding of the Paradigm Prize to Ms. Lynn Elsenhans, a person who, because of her disregard for the working families and communities of Philadelphia, we believe is not worthy of such an honor.

First of all, just because someone is under the age of 30 does not make them a child. So please check your ageism at the door. Obviously the protest wasn't something people were expecting, and for many it came off as disrespectful and unwarranted. But before you jump to the conclusion that those involved were simply causing problems for the sake of it, why don't you actually investigate their claims about Lynn's sordid history of labor relations? Until you've taken into account both sides of the story your opinion is merely bias.
